Welcome to our hidden corner of the Peak District, where you can sit back and enjoy the delights of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. We provide a relaxing base from which you can explore the fabulous sights of Peak District.

Lydgate farm house is an attractive16th century listed house with a beautiful country garden. The farm is a working beef and sheep farm and is surrounded by some of the loveliest scenery in the county. Our guests can experience a real working farm in action.

A visit to Lydgate Farm is so much more than just a stay in a B&B, from the moment you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm welcome and a fresh made cup of tea with home made cakes, biscuits or a scone.

Breakfast is a relaxed affair in the guests dining room, and includes eggs from our own hens, local milk, homemade bread with local and organic produce wherever possible. Evening meals can be provided by arrangement, please ask for details.

After breakfast, either relax at the farm or explore all that Derbyshire and the Peaks has to offer. After a busy day out, return to the farm to a comfortable en suite room for a relaxing evening.

If a more relaxing holiday is your style, then there are some of the countries finest stately homes close by such as Chatsworth, Harwick and Haddon, Alton Towers is about a 30 minute drive away and there are beautiful market towns and villages to explore, country walks to suit all abilities. Derbyshire can also offer great Bird Watching and fishing areas.
